We Clean Houses

Entrepreneur John Dicker imported Molly Maid from Canada to Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1984 to offer busy American homeowners a trustworthy, qualified, and reasonably priced answer to cluttered, filthy homes. The new home cleaning service was used by locals of the competitive university town, and it soon spread to areas in neighboring states. Across the country, there are already more than 450 independently operated Molly Maid cleaning service franchises. We conducted 1.7 million cleaning services in the previous year, 90% of which were for repeat clients.

American workers consistently rank among the most productive in the entire globe. Families with two incomes are common, as are workweeks and commutes that go over 40 hours and into the evenings and weekends. Children have assignments, practice,

rehearsals, sports meets, and a variety of other activities that require many parents to spend even more time out of the house.

Working most commonly on a weekly or every other week schedule, Molly Maid gives busy individuals and families clean, comfortable homes to return to and enjoy—homes cleaned according to their individual wishes and services backed by a 24-hour satisfaction guarantee.

Thanks to the success of Molly Maid, McKinnon was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2013. McKinnon says, “I always tell people that Molly Maid is a simple business: We clean houses.”
